For piano students ages 5 & 6, a parent must attend all lessons and commit to assisting the student with daily practice at home.
Flute lessons: minimum age 9
Books & materials are not included in the yearly tuition
(Usually purchased by the teacher and billed to the student/family account)
Additional expenses (that may come up depending on student goals & choices)
- Accompanist fees
- Music Festival entry fees
- Conservatory Exam fees
- Extra weekly lessons, 1 hour, regular rate, billed monthly (especially when preparing for exams)
Students continuing with conservatory exams beyond Level 5 will be scheduled for 1-2 extra lessons per month for instruction in theory, sight reading, ear training & technique. (see "additional expenses" above)
